Why Pinecone?

Hey guys! I'm really excited to start this journey with you and my little adventurer Pinecone. My name is Becca and I'm the mother of Pinecone. I always considered myself a dog person until we met Pinecone (Pumpkin at the time). We decided that we would just take a look at our local animal shelter, here in Rome Ga, and didn't really have the mindset of taking home a cat same day. We knew we wanted a girl and around 3 months if possible because a kitten kitten seemed like a daunting task. Pinecone was one of the few kittens left available for adoption and tho my husband won't admit it he loved that she was a ginger.
We opened the door to the crate, gave her a small pet, and took a step back. With small area for her to be we didn't want to smother her or make her feel uncomfortable in any way. She looked at us and immediately belly flopped as if to welcome all the love we could give.
We walked back up to the counter and requested the papers.
It took us a week to give her a name, with my heart always on dogs I knew she needed something extra special. Why pinecone? I love hiking and being outside just feels like home so I needed something from outside for my little adventure cat to be.
We've had her a little over a year now and with all our memories/journeys I decided to start this blog to showcase living an adventure cat life. I'll be sharing our adventures, products we like and use, and little Pinecones big life in general.
I don't know if many people will care but for anyone who enjoys seeing my cat as much as me. Welcome and enjoy!
