Gear Up | Let's Talk Harnesses

August 2021 makes one full year of adventuring with Pinecone!

We've come a long way in that year finding what gear we choose to use. I think for every cat finding the right harness is different.

Pinecone's first harness came from amazon which cost no more than $15. It's currently unavailable or I would provide a link.

The second harness came from Supakit, a brand we found on Instagram. (Link to their website) https://supakit.co/ . With this brand, we loved the attention to detail and work they put in their harness. However, Pinecone didn't move as smoothly in it and it seemed stiff for her. With that said I don't want to discredit this brand in any way. I think they have a goal to put out a safe & stylish product that just happens to not work for us. I know other accounts that have bought this and their cat loves it and moves freely in it! The price tag was around $70.

Our current harness is probably going to be what we settle on for years to come. Wild Piccolo, tho an overseas brand, has a product that is comfortable, stylish, and handcrafted with wonderful detail. We came across them thru their post looking for brand ambassadors. With nothing but a free harness to win, I thought why not. Their page had an adventurous vibe and I liked that they use cork and your cats specific measurements. (Make sure you measure correctly because I did not the first time 😅) When we received the harness, Pinecone opened up on her adventures unlike before. She was walking & jumping around a LOT more. We really love this brand and highly recommend checking them out. The price tag was around $45. https://www.wildpiccolo.com/

No matter what brand you find or start with, it's important to pay attention to what your cat is telling you. The way they react and move about will let you know if they are comfortable and happy. We hope this has helped, feel free to reach out and ask questions!
